The War, A Short Film by Shilo
“The War” is the latest in our roster of experimental work. A short film inspired and backed by the Angels & Airwaves song of the same name, this piece is an example of what we like to call design-infused storytelling. We teamed up with Tom Delonge, perhaps best-known as the lead vocalist/guitarist of Blink 182, as he was conceiving and writing the songs for Angels & Airwaves first album “We Don’t Need to Whisper.” We wrote and directed the short film as a reflection of the song “The War”, and during its inception we had the opportunity to collaborate with Tom very closely. Through intimate conversations and free associations we were creating concepts and designs as he was making the music itself.

Sein Name war Markus, er war kleiner als die anderen, auch irgendwie…
Er meinte, dass dies der sicherste Weg währe und er das unbedingt wolle, wie auch immer. Wenn ihm keiner helfen wollen würde, würde er das eben allein durchziehen. Die Hälfte der Gruppe stieg aus, das war ihnen doch zu viel der Solidarität. Er band sich mit einem Handtuch ein Stück Seife auf den Unterarm, weil es die Knochen weicher machen würde, wie er sagte, und dann nicht ganz so sehr schmerzen würde. Ich hoffte, dass er sich das bis zum nächsten Morgen überlegen würde und konnte in dieser Nacht wieder nicht schlafen. Nicht weil er wieder weinte und die ganze Nacht schluchzte, sondern weil ich fand, dass das ein absolutes Wahnsinnsvorhaben sei, dass in keiner Relation zur Sache stand.

In 1000, the largest city in the world was Cordova, Spain and by 1500, 4 of the top 10 were in China and one was in Nepal.

Nerds are fucking funny. Your nerd spent a lot of his younger life being an outcast because of his strange affinity with the computer. This created a basic bitterness in his psyche that is the foundation for his humor. I think something’s a little bit fishy here, oh wait, that’s actually true! Yes, the Betta aquarium allows your favourite swimmers to blissfully roam amongst the glow in the dark stars and planets that adorn its home. It’s a good thing fish only have a 3 second memory or they might get a little disturbed by the plethora of unnecessary alien like tat. It features a ‘fun’ UFO cap that beams lights into the aquarium so you can watch your fish blink again.. and again as they swim aimlessly around.
