Bilder der Mast Brothers und ihrer Brooklyn Chocolate Factory

chocolate

Das weltbeste Einrichtungsblog The Selby hat Fotos aus Brooklyns Chocolate Factory, die aussieht, wie Chocolaterien vor 150 Jahren. This is how we roll, 21st Century-Style. Fehlt nur der Laptop, auf dem man die neueste handgemachte Schoko-Edition twittert. Jetzt hab’ ich Hunger.

The Mast Brothers chocolate factory is New York City’s only bean to bar chocolate factory. These photos illustrate the whole process by which the cacao beans are roasted, ground up, processed, aged, tempered and packaged. There is a dedication to purity and an intensity of flavor in their chocolate which is very unusual.

Chocolate Skulls (2)

Ich hatte schonmal was über Totenköpfe aus Schokolade, da waren die hier aber nicht dabei.

Doesn’t this skull made from a blend of Cuban and Mexican Dark Chocolate look delicious? Oh it is, but trust us, you’ll probably want to share it with some friends; This is a 2.5 kilo, life sized, solid cast of an actual human skull!

All they do is make awesome chocolate skulls – weighing in at 2.5 kilos of chocolate. The fucked up bit is that they are life sized and an solid cast of an ACTUAL HUMAN SKULL. Brilliantly morbid. They have even perfected bone chocolate – a blend of dark, milk and white chocolate that looks like bone (yummy).

Grace Jones aus Schokolade

Creative Review hat ein nettes Making Of der Schokoladen-Visuals vom Tom Hingston Studio des neuen Grace Jones-Albums.

Photographed by Jonathan De Villiers, the cover for Hurricane features a production line of chocolate Grace Jones heads with supporting imagery showing Jones inspecting a range of body parts at various stages of the manufacturing process.

“The original idea was to produce a set of images of Grace being mass-produced but with her being in control of the actual process,” says Hingston. “The crux of the idea is that she has ownership of her identity. We looked at a range of manufacturing processes, from car makers to pottery factories, but there was something about her being made of chocolate that had [the right] connotations.”

Whilst scouting the Thorntons factory in Derbyshire as a potential location for a shoot, the chocolatiers suggested making up the moulds for each of the body parts (16 in all) and creating them there in the factory.

Band veröffentlicht superlimitierte Schokoladen-Single

(Youtube Direktschoki)

Just when we think we’ve seen it all, InnerPartySystem are releasing their next single on 100 pieces of chocolate. The chocolate discs contain vinyl-style grooves, which a spokeswoman for the band says will play on a standard vinyl turntable (if my record player were involved, I’d freeze the choco-disc first).
