Vincent Fourniers Space Project-Fotografie

Manchmal hasse ich es ja, dass ich hier immer viel und oft Zeugs raushaue, weil ich deshalb nämlich immer öfter auf Zeugs stoße, das ich hier schon hatte. Normalerweise bringe ich sowas dann nicht. Und weil Ausnahmen die Regel bestätigten, mache ich da mal ‘ne Ausnahme für diese Space-Fotoserie von Vincent Fournier.

Weil der nämlich nur eine doofe Flash-Website hat und die Serie ziemlich fantastisch ist, scheiße ich einfach mal auf das Schonmalgehabthaben und sage einfach: „Wow! Vincent Fournier schießt fantastische Bilder von Astronauten vor seltsamen Tapeten, Space-Tech und Retro-Weiltraumzeugs.“

Sehr schönes Video von Buck.tv zu The Braverys „Slow Poison“ aus ihrem neuen Album „Stir the Blood“. Für das Gejaule am Ende könnte ich sie zwar erwürgen, weil ich das eigentlich sonst für einen netten Song halte, aber dafür ist das Video voller Space und Farben. Immerhin.

Paul Calle saß 1969 am Frühstückstisch mit Armstrong, Aldrin und Collins und zeichnete die Astronauten beim Essen und beim Anziehen ihrer Spacesuits.

On July 16, 1969 Paul Calle was with the Apollo XI astronauts as they had breakfast and prepared for their historic journey to the Moon. Calle was the only artist to document the activities of Astronauts, Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins as they Suited Up for the Apollo XI Mission. His on-the-spot pen and ink sketches stand as an artistic impression of the final hours on Earth of three men as they journeyed into Space destined to make history for all mankind.

The Last Astronaut: Spaß mit vergessenen Astronauten auf dem Mond

The Last Astronaut ist eine ziemlich lustige Web-Serie über einen 1972 auf der letzten Mission vergessenen Astronauten auf dem fucking Mond, der sich Zusammenfassungen der neuen Star Wars-Filme anhören muss, obwohl er schon als die Originale im Kino liefen auf dem fucking Mond war. Die Paranoia und Einsamkeit des dritten Apollo XI-Astronauten Michael Collins

Der Guardian hat die spannende Story über die Paranoia und Einsamkeit von Michael Collins, dem Astronauten, der im Columbia-Spaceship zurückblieb und einmal den Mond umkreiste, während Neil Armstrong und Buzz Aldrin mit dem Eagle auf dem Mond landeten.

“My secret terror for the last six months has been leaving them on the Moon and returning to Earth alone; now I am within minutes of finding out the truth of the matter,” he wrote. “If they fail to rise from the surface, or crash back into it, I am not going to commit suicide; I am coming home, forthwith, but I will be a marked man for life and I know it.” [...]

Apollo 11 consisted of a spindly lunar lander, Eagle, and an orbiting mothership, Columbia, that were both blasted into space on a giant Saturn V rocket on 16 July 1969. For three days, Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins cruised towards the Moon inside Columbia and spent their time gazing “out the window at the Earth getting smaller and smaller and checking the spacecraft”, according to Aldrin.

Then, on 20 July, Armstrong and Aldrin crawled into Eagle and flew it down to the Moon’s surface. “Keep talking to me, guys,” radioed an initially panicky Collins as the pair drifted away from his ship.

Minutes later, Columbia swept behind the Moon and Collins became Earth’s most distant solo traveller, separated from the rest of humanity by 250,000 miles of space and by the bulk of the Moon, which blocked all radio transmissions to and from mission control. He was out of sight and out of contact with his home planet.

“I am now truly alone and absolutely alone from any known life. I am it,” he wrote in his capsule.

In diesem Video zeigt Astronaut Koichi Wakata, der seit März auf der ISS rumschwebt, ein paar ziemlich seltsame Experimente, inklusive Augentropfen, Fallrückziehern und Armdrücken in Schwerelosigkeit. Und die Musik, zu der dieses Video geschnitten ist, tut dann ihr übriges: Vielleicht das schönste Space-Experiment-Video, das ich jemals gesehen habe.

Alternative Mond-Landungsrede mit doomed Men on the Moon

Als 1969 Neil Armstrong und Buzz Aldrin als erste Menschen auf dem Mond rumlatschten, bereitete man auf der Erde bereits eine Rede vor für den Fall, dass etwas schiefgeht und die Männer nicht zurückkehren können. Ein spooky Text wie aus einem Paralleluniversum mit doomed Men on the Moon.

Fate has ordained that the men who went to the moon to explore in peace will stay on the moon to rest in peace.

These brave men, Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin, know that there is no hope for their recovery. But they also know that there is hope for mankind in their sacrifice.

These two men are laying down their lives in mankind’s most noble goal: the search for truth and understanding.

For every human being who looks up at the moon in the nights to come will know that there is some corner of another world that is forever mankind.

Der Cosmic Drummer hat schonmal live auf einer ihrer Ausstellungen getrommelt (vorher auf Nerdcore: Cosmic Drummer @ Imaginary Foundation Art Show) und überhaupt müsste es viel mehr Bands aus Astronauten geben. Alan Beans Astronauten-Kunst

Alan Bean ist einer von 12 Menschen, die den Mond betraten. Er war Astronaut der Apollo XII, Kommander von Skylab II und außerdem malt er Gemälde. Mit Astronauten. Künstlerisch sind die Arbeiten eher der naiven Malerei zuzurechnen und eher… schlicht. Aber hey, einen Astronauten würde ich mir sofort zuhause hinhängen.

As part of the Apollo XII crew, he became the fourth of only twelve men ever to walk on the Moon. As the spacecraft commander of Skylab Mission II, he set a world record: 24,400,000 miles traveled during the 59-day flight. When he wasn’t flying, Bean always enjoyed painting as a hobby. Attending night classes at St. Mary’s College in Maryland in 1962, Alan experimented with landscapes. During training and between missions as a test pilot and astronaut, he continued private art lessons. On space voyages, his artist’s eye and talent enabled him to document impressions of the Moon and space to be preserved later on canvas.

Wenn Hollywood sogar Jason Voorhees ins All schicken kann, dann können sie das auch mit Haien. „Jaws 5 – In Space“ wäre jedenfalls definitiv ein Film, den ich mir anschauen würde und das Shirt dazu ist der absolute Oberknaller! Ich bin ja sowieso für mehr Haie im Weltraum.

Cosmic Drummer @ Imaginary Foundation Art Show

Der Design-Thinktank Imaginary Foundation hatte am Samstag Vernissage in der Sulu-Galerie in Los Angeles, dort trommelte dieser Astronaut ein paar kosmische Patterns. Auf der Website von Sulu gibt es noch ein paar Bilder von Gemälden und bemalten Skateboards, aber der kosmische Drummer ist eigentlich alles, was man braucht.

G.I. Joe’s 2001-esque trip into space was not his first time in orbit (though it was his first visit to space with lifelike hair). Back in 1965, Joe, wrapped in a foil suit, rode a Mercury capsule into imaginary outer space.

Dieses Shirt bei Threadless kriegt mich ja auf so vielen Levels. Astronaut-Zombie-Geister jagen einem paranoiden Astronauten-Pacman eine Scheißangst ein. Und jetzt will ich sofort einen Science-Fiction-Zombie-Film sehen will. Mit untoten Astronauten-Geistern und Pacman.
