The Virtual Revolution – Doku-Trailer

„The Virtual Revolution“ ist eine neue Doku der BBC die nächste Woche gesendet (und danach garantiert irgendwo in den endlosen Weiten des Cyberspace auftauchen) wird. Der Film ist eine „Open Source Doku“, von Themen bis Titel wurde alles kollaborativ auf einem Blog entwickelt und produziert und als ob das alles nicht schon gut genug wäre, hier noch ein bisschen Name-Dropping: Tim Berners-Lee, Steve Wozniak, Bill Gates, Stephen Fry, Al Gore, Feargal Sharkey und Jimmy Wales.

Journalist and academic Aleks Krotoski lays bare the extraordinary benefits and the unforeseen downsides of the world wide web’s impact on almost every facet of our lives today – revolutionising economies, challenging political systems and even reshaping the ways we think and relate to each other.

In a landmark four-part series examining the profound changes precipitated by the invention of the web 20 years ago, Aleks travels through the United States, Russia, South Korea and Estonia revealing remarkable human stories that illustrate how the web is being used and abused today. She meets the web’s pioneers and greatest minds to ask searching questions about where it may take us in the future.

    das ist doch geheim! das schöne geheime wissen!! die bbc zerstört den wissensvorteil der unter40jährigen!!

  6. Ja die BBC bringt schon feine Sachen zustande. Unsere ÖR ja teilweise auch aber das muss man schon suchen, wenn man der etwas jüngeren Generation angehört.
