Ich hatte keine Ahnung, das LOLCat-Fanatiker seit 2007 an einer Übersetzung der Bibel in LOLSpeak arbeiten. Gott ist darin Ceiling Cat, Satan ist Basement Cat. Die Übersetzung ist fast komplett (!) und kommt 2010 als Katzenbuch aller Katzenbücher. Hier der erste und der letzte Satz aus der Genesis: „1 Oh hai. In teh beginnin Ceiling Cat maded teh skiez An da Urfs, but he did not eated dem. 31 An Ceiling Cat sayed, Beholdt, teh good enouf for releaze as version 0.8a. kthxbai.“

Klingt nach einem Buch, das ich haben muss. LA Weekly hat ein Interview mit dem Initiator der Aktion, Martin Grondin, und darin erklärt der, dass Basement und Ceiling Cat früher mal ziemlich dicke Buddys waren, bevor Ceiling Cat ihn pwnte. Jeez!

Cat, even though they used to be best buds way back in the day before Ceiling Cat pwned Basement Cat.

Ceiling Cat is a god of Cheezburgers and cookiez and of pwnzors and lazer eyez. You have to watch out. If you are on his good side you will get chin rubs and cheezburgers, but if you get on his bad side he
will pwn you.



Is Ceiling Cat even a “he”? Or is he a “she”? Also, what breed of cat is
 Ceiling Cat?

Ceiling Cat tends to be referred to as a he, but in reality, he
transcends gender and breed. Much like Plato believed in his Theory of
Forms that all objects gained their essence through an ideal of that
object, all cats derive their catness through Ceiling Cat. He is the essence of cat.

  2. Need. Genau deswegen lese und liebe ich Nerdcore…was mir ohne diesen schönen Blog nicht schon so alles durch die Lappen gegangen wäre, von dem ich vorher noch nichtmal wusste, dass ich es brauche *g*.
