The Beatles complete on a Ukulele

Die Ukulele ist eigentlich ein tolles Instrument, wäre sie hierzuland nicht durch einen unerträglichen TV-Moderator in Verruf gebracht worden, so dass man folgendes eigentlich gar nicht verlinken möchte. Aber ich muss, denn das, was Roger und Dave da machen, ist zu toll zum ignorieren: Sie spielen den kompletten Katalog der Beatles auf einer Ukulele (und die Cover sind tatsächlich besser, als sich dieser Satz grade anhört).

Roger and Dave will….

A) Record & perform on ukulele all 185 original compositions by The Beatles with 185 guest artists.

B) Write essays to coincide with each release.

C) Make available for download one new recording and essay every Tuesday for 185 weeks, beginning January 20, 2009 (Inauguration Day) and climaxing July 24, 2012 (The eve of the London Olympics).

    Allerdings macht so ‘ne Uke auch sehr viel Spaß. Und man kann sie toll mit auf Reisen nehmen. ^^

  10. yeah, alle beatles-songs.. das ist ne ansage… was ukulele angeht, kommt man (fast) nicht an jake shimabukuro vorbei… wenn der typ loslegt klingts nach drei ukulelen…. sehr empfehlenswert… und den smiths-link find ich auch grandios. danke dafür.. ich bin gespannt auf die uku-beatles.
