C64-SID-Tunes auf dem iPhone

SID Player (iTunes-Store-Link) ist ein Emulator des legendären Soundchips des C64 und die App kommt mit zehntausenden (!) 8-Bit-Tunes von tausenden (!!) Komponisten und mit den Tunes aus Games wie Commando, Arkanoid oder Yie Ar Kung Fu. Die erste Minute des Videos ist eher sehr langweilig, danach ist es die pure Nostalgie auf dem iPhone… aaaaaw!

Sid Player gives you access to the High Voltage Sid Collection (HVSC) consisting of over 33.000 songs from 1125 authors. Thanks to the unique sound aesthetics, Sid music is now considered an art of its own and there’s a constant flow of new creations.

A Sid file occupies only few kbytes, thus you can quickly download C64 music via EDGE or UMTS and listen for hours. The search function enables you to find your favourites in a blink.

  3. Gibt es das auch in irgendeiner Form (also DER Sound inkl. SO EINER Datenbank) für PC? Würd ja sogar geringe Geldbeträge lockermachen, so cool klingt das.

  4. Bin zwar eher einer der nur die letzten Zuckungen der C64 Zeit mitgenommen hat, aber 8-Bit Sounds klingen so großartig, dass das jetzt mal ein Killerargument für ein iPhone ist.

  7. es gibt ein winamp sid-plugin für windows

    für linux gibt sowas sicher erst recht oder mit wine probieren

    auf der seite (leider irgendwie gerade off, hoffen wir mal das beste) gibt es tausende sids von maktone zum download
    meiner meinung nach der beste sid-komponist

  10. Das App ist nix anderes wie ein SID Player fürs IPhone plus die High Voltage SID Collection, die man sich schon seit jahren hier kostenlos herunterladen kann:

  11. Kost ja Geld. Trotzdem geil. Ich hab vor ein paar Monaten richtig viel Zeit benötigt um aus einem Sid ein Klingelton fürs iPhone zu generieren. Das wäre noch ein gutes Feature für die Software: Ring Sid
