Terry Pratchett verfügte vor seinem Tod im Jahr 2015, dass man seine unvollendeten Arbeiten auf die Straße schmeißen und mit einer Dampfwalze überfahren solle.

Am Freitag vergangener Woche war es soweit und Rob Wilkins, Pratchetts Kumpel und Assistent, rollerte mit einer alten John Fowler namens Lord Jericho die Festplatte vom Terry kaputt. Dann bearbeitete er sie nochmal mit einer alten Schleifmaschine, um ganz sicher zu gehen. „It’s still magic even if you know how it’s done“.

After his death, fellow fantasy author Neil Gaiman, Pratchett’s close friend and collaborator , told the Times that Pratchett had wanted “whatever he was working on at the time of his death to be taken out along with his computers, to be put in the middle of a road and for a steamroller to steamroll over them all”.
