Neue Trailer zum Horrorschlock Rock Paper Dead von Tom Holland (Chucky 1, Fright Night), gleich zwei neue zum immer besser aussehenden Hardcore-Horror The Void, zur Serienversion von Snatch, dem Knast-Actioner The Prison, zum Drama Live Cargo und (es tut mir wirklich, wirklich leid) zum Zombiefilm to end all Zombiefilms: Ibiza Dead. It's as bad as it sounds (I'll watch it or let's say, I'll try). Und dann geht es tatsächlich nochmal schlechter: Der Trailer zu einer Doku über Kim Dotcom. Fuck that guy. Aber The Void rockt dafür doppelt.

The Void (UK Trailer 2)

In the middle of a routine patrol, officer Daniel Carter happens upon a blood-soaked figure limping down a deserted stretch of road. He rushes the young man to a nearby rural hospital staffed by a skeleton crew, only to discover that patients and personnel are transforming into something inhuman. As the horror intensifies, Carter leads the other survivors on a hellish voyage into the subterranean depths of the hospital in a desperate bid to end the nightmare before it's too late.

Newsbits:

  • Awesome! Jeff Lemires Underwater Welder optioned for Film: „'The Underwater Welder', writer/artist Jeff Lemire’s critically-acclaimed comic about father/son relationships and supernatural goings-on at the bottom of the sea, may soon be making its way to theaters. The Top Shelf-published work has now been optioned by Oscar-nominee Ryan Gosling, producer Ken Kao, and the film production Anonymous Content, according to a press release form the publisher, with Lemire, Top Shelf Editor–in–Chief Chris Staros and IDW CEO and Publisher Ted Adams attached as executive producers.“
  • I'm fine with that: Ridley Scott Already Has a Script Ready to Go for the Alien: Covenant Sequel: „While working on Alien: Covenant, he had the next installment written so he is ready to keep advancing the saga. 'You’ve got to assume to a certain extent success and from that you’d better be ready', he says. 'You don’t want a two-year gap. So I’ll be ready to go again next year.'“

The Void (US Trailer 2)

Rock Paper Dead

The film follows a serial killer Peter “The Doll Maker” Harris, who returns to his ancestral family estate after being released from the state’s hospital for the criminally insane, after twenty years, as a cured man. Once inside the old house, anguished memories from a tortured childhood and visitations from past victims shake Peter’s resolve, but it isn’t until the lovely young Ashley enters his life that Peter makes a fateful decision that rekindles old desires that have always ended in murder.

Snatch

The cult classic film Snatch is now a high-stakes, high-octane Crackle Original Series. Get in on the action, gangster mentality, heists and rapid-fire dialogue that earned the original movie a shite-load of fans. Snatch streams free on Crackle March 16. Starring Rupert Grint (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets), Luke Pasqualino (Battlestar Gallactica: Blood & Chrome), Lucien Laviscourt (The Bye Bye Man), Marc Warren (Wanted, Hustle), Stephanie Leonidas (American Gothic), Phoebe Dynevor (Waterloo Road), Juliet Aubrey (The Infiltrator, The Constant Gardener), Tamer Hassan (Layer Cake, Kick-Ass), Dougray Scott (Mission: Impossible III, Taken 3) and Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl).

The Prison

A troubled ex-cop is imprisoned for a hit-and-run accident. He discovers that the entire penitentiary is controlled by an inmate who has been running a crime syndicate with the help of the warden and guards which provides them 100% alibi.

Live Cargo

A grieving couple retreats to a remote Bahamian island where they become entangled in a dangerous turf war between the island's mayor and a greedy human trafficker.

Ibiza Undead

A group of young people head to Ibiza for the holiday of a lifetime - all the sun, sea and sex they can handle. If only there wasn't a zombie outbreak getting in the way.

Kim Dotcom: Caught in the Web

The larger-than-life story of Kim Dotcom, the "most wanted man online", is extraordinary enough, but the battle between Dotcom and the US Government and entertainment industry, being fought in New Zealand, is one that goes to the heart of ownership, privacy and piracy in the digital age. Three years in the making, this independent film chronicles a spectacular moment in global online history, dubbed the 'largest copyright case’ ever and the truth about what happened.
