Bullshit-Sciences gewinnen Ig-Nobelpreis für Frieden, Volkswagen den für Chemie

Gestern Nacht wurden in Cambridge wieder die Ig Nobel-Preise vergeben, die satirische Auszeichnung der Harvard-Universität für unnütze, lustige und seltsame wissenschaftliche Arbeiten. (Vorher auf NC: 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015).

ignobelDieses Jahr gewann unter anderem Volkswagen für ihre bahnbrechende Lösung der automobilen Umweltverschmutzung durch automatische Abgas-Reduktion im Testfall. Völlig zurecht.

Außerdem gewann Andreas Sprenger und Kollegen für seine Entdeckung, dass wenn es den Menschen irgendwo linksseitig juckt, man nur in den Spiegel schauen und rechtsseitig kratzen muss; Bruno Verschuere für seine umfassende Studie über Lügner, für die er auch entscheiden musste, ob er ihnen glauben kann; den Friedens-Nobelpreis (haha) bekam Gordon Pennycook für seine hier auf NC bereits vorgestellte Bullshit-Studie; der Ig Nobelpreis für Wirtschaft ging an Mark Avis und seine Marketing-Studie über die Persönlichkeit von Steinen.

Thomas Thwaites gewinnt für sein Ziegen-Cosplay, Fredrik Sjöberg für seine Autobiografie voller totel Fliegen und Atsuki Higashiyama für seine Untersuchung, ob Dinge anders aussehen, wenn man sie durch die eigenen Beine betrachtet und Gábor Horváth für seine Studie über Libellen, die Grabsteine mit Wasser verwechseln.

CHEMISTRY PRIZE [GERMANY] — Volkswagen, for solving the problem of excessive automobile pollution emissions by automatically, electromechanically producing fewer emissions whenever the cars are being tested.
