Der Pokémon-Hypetrain rollt weiter.
First things first: Google hatte im Jahr 2014 einen Pokémon Go-Aprilscherz am Start: „Dozens of wild Pokémon have taken up residence on streets, amidst forests and atop mountains throughout Google Maps. To catch 'em all, grab your Poké Ball and the newest version of Google Maps for iPhone or Android. Then tap the search bar, 'press start', and begin your quest.
Pokémon Go überholt demnächst Twitter-Aktivität auf Android. This is crazy: „Data published today by SimilarWeb indicates that the mobile game is poised to surpass Twitter in daily active users on Android.“
Pokémon Go makes friends, formt neue Communities und löst Flashmobs aus: The lure was supposed to bring more Pokemon. Instead it brought together people who would've never met otherwise, Such a diverse and very nice community coming together to be Pokémon Masters!
This happened to me just tonight and gosh, THIS is what the game is really about. After a person dropped two lures at two very close proximity pokestops a group of almost 20 people (including me) showed up to them. We all talked about what Pokemon we caught and where we got them. It was such a cool experience. I met a bunch of yellow team players, we exchanged numbers and we're all gonna get together tomorrow to go around a few towns capping gyms and collecting Pokemon! As a very shy, introverted person it's amazing that this game can bring together people.
My husband is in the military and we are stationed out in the middle of nowhere: We have a chilies and a movie theater in town as basically the only source of entertainment. This base has the third highest suicide rate just to give you an idea of how lonely and depressing it can be to live here. The active duty members go to work do their job and return home to play video games or watch TV day in and day out. I have realized that most people have been in this type of mental state at some point in their lives. So the second night after launch round 11pm I noticed that at our "park" someone dropped a lure. I mentioned to my husband that I would love to stop by as there are zero pokemon nearby all across base. We head down there and only a handful of airmen are hanging out welcoming us with enthusiasm. After awhile more people stop by and even the military police show up to catch a rapidash. I thought this in itself was amazing: getting people together out of the dorms and away from the TV. Everyone makes a plan to meet up the following day and we head home phones all dead. Reddit..... the next day over 50 people show up with their kids pets and coolers! This never happens!
So many people playing in the city that somebody asked me: “Do you know what this line is for?” pic.twitter.com/dOkh86TUnu

Pokémon Go turns the world of Gaming on its head:
Nintendo hatte das beste Wochenende seit 1983: Pokémon Go's success adds $7.5 billion to Nintendo's market value
Und Jonathan Mann singt einen Song über mich: I've Never Really Understood Pokemon and I Still Don't. Ich installier’ mir das Teil jetzt trotzdem (hier die APK), falls ich mich die Tage nicht mehr melden sollte: Ich bin draußen. Zocken.
I’ve never understood
How to play pokemon
And i still don’t
I walked down the street
I walked up the street
Nothing happened and I went home
That’s an accurate description
Of my interaction
With Pokemon through out time
I don’t know and I don’t know
I consider myself to be a nerd
But this is one that I don’t get
I can see how it would be fun
But the glue just never set
So carry on you pikachus
I’ll look enviously at you
I wish I had the time
