Man dies after opening Pandoras Box full of Dope

Jason Airey, 37, was found unconscious by his parents in his bedroom at their home in Carlisle, Cumbria in May. Next to him was a box bearing the phrase “Pandora’s Box” in red letters. It contained a packet of unopened, cannabis but no drugs were found in Mr Airey’s system, an inquest heard.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Airey’s heart had stopped, which had caused his organs to fail. But tests were unable to establish why. Pandora’s Box is an artefact taken from Greek mythology. The box, given to Pandora, was said to contain all the evils of the world.
