It’s been 25 years since the release of Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Sony BMG are trying to get more sales out of the album - this time using everyone’s favorite buzz term “guerrilla marketing”. So what are they doing? Sending people dressed as zombies out into the streets who “spontaneously” break out into the famous Thriller dance. The idea is to get the song back in people’s heads, with the hopes that they’ll go home and buy the album. I’m sure that doesn’t work out that great but good on them for trying.
